Gert Hoefman

Gert Hoefman is a member of the Board of Directors of Ducab, the UAE cable and metals manufacturer, where he focuses on strategic guidance following roughly a year as the group's interim chief executive. He led Ducab as Interim Group CEO until July 2026, when Matteo Bavaresco was appointed Group CEO, and the board transition was designed to preserve institutional knowledge while bringing in external leadership for the group's international expansion.

Hoefman is a veteran of the global cable industry. His career includes serving as an Operating Partner at Apollo, as Vice President of the Industrial Business at Prysmian Group, the Milan-based cable systems manufacturer, and as Chief Executive Officer of Oman Cables, one of the Gulf's leading cable producers.
