Charlotte Butterworth is one of the co-founders of RED C Research UK, currently serving as Joint Managing Director for the UK business. A qual specialist, Charlotte has a particular interest in Media & Entertainment, Lifestyle and Retail sectors.

Her core areas of expertise include providing strategic direction for multi-market studies, brand and proposition development, concept and product testing and customer closeness. She is passionate about kids & family audiences, and loves understanding consumer behaviour at an international level. Career history

• Qual MD at Future Thinking, where she and Group MD Richard Barton spent 32 years combined at the firm and its predecessor companies, before departing in 2016 to pursue other opportunities
• Co-founded RED C Research UK in 2016 in conjunction with leading UK market practitioner Richard Barton
• Following the integration of Relish Research into RED C in 2026, jointly leads the UK business alongside Managing Directors Richard Barton and Simon Thompson
