Bandar Alkhorayef

Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef has served as Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources since August 30, 2019, leading Saudi Arabia's newly independent ministry focused on industrial and mineral resources sectors. He was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority on August 23, 2020, until his recent relief from that position in August 2026. He is the first minister appointed to head the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources after its independence from the Ministry of Energy.

Alkhorayef holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from King Saud University and pursued courses in management, leadership, and investment at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland. He brings over twenty-five years of experience in the fields of industry, trade, and investment, holding several key positions.
