Andrew Croft

Andrew Martin Croft was born in June 1964 and is a Chartered Accountant who trained with Deloitte Haskins and Sells (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers). He holds a degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Southampton and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988. Between 1985 and 1990, he worked as an Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Croft joined St James's Place in 1993, serving as its chief financial officer from 2004 to 2017 and as CEO since 2018. In January 2018 Andrew Croft replaced David Bellamy as chief executive, after thirteen years as chief financial officer. During his tenure as CEO, client funds under management have grown to £157.5 billion, cementing the firm's position as the leading financial advice and wealth management business in the UK.

Croft stepped down as a director on 1 December 2023 following an orderly handover and remained with St James's Place into 2024 to assist the business as required. He is a Trustee of the St James's Place Foundation and a lay member of the Audit, Risk & Investment Committees of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
