The Singapore Airshow will hold its next edition from 15 to 20 February at the Changi Exhibition Centre, according to the calendar published by organiser Experia Events. The show runs on a two year cycle and the forthcoming edition falls in 2028.
The airshow is the largest aerospace and defence exhibition in Asia and one of a small number worldwide that the industry plans its year around. Commercial aircraft orders, defence procurement announcements, engine and maintenance contracts and supply chain deals are routinely timed to it, and the trade days draw airline chief executives, air force chiefs, airport operators and the heads of the region's maintenance, repair and leasing businesses.
For executives outside aerospace the show still earns attention, because it offers one of the clearest available readings of Asian air travel demand and of how carriers in the region are planning fleet renewal, sustainable fuel adoption and cabin investment. Suppliers of everything from avionics to ground handling use the week to set the following two years of business.
The Changi Exhibition Centre, a 65 hectare site about ten minutes by road from Changi Airport, provides roughly 40,000 square metres of indoor exhibition space and about 100,000 square metres outdoors, the latter used for the static aircraft display. Experia Events has organised the show since the company was renamed from Singapore Airshow and Events in 2011.
