SIMI, France's commercial real estate exhibition, runs from 8 to 10 December 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

The venue is worth stating plainly because it has changed. SIMI was long associated with the Palais des Congres de Paris, and several listings still carry that address, but the 2026 edition is at Porte de Versailles, confirmed on the organiser's own site and on its official floor plan.

The event gathers developers, institutional investors, asset managers, corporate occupiers, brokers and local authorities promoting development sites, covering offices, logistics, retail and increasingly the conversion of obsolete commercial stock.

Why it matters

French commercial property has been through a sharp repricing. Office values outside the most central Paris locations fell materially as interest rates rose and occupier demand shifted, and the gap between buyer and seller expectations suppressed transaction volumes for an extended period.

SIMI is where that gap is tested each December. Attendance and deal announcements at the show have become a reasonable leading indicator of whether the investment market is reopening, because it sits late enough in the year to reflect the full cycle of institutional allocation decisions.

The structural question running underneath is conversion. A significant volume of secondary office space in the Paris region is no longer lettable at economic rents, and what happens to it, whether residential conversion, demolition or long vacancy, is a live planning and financing debate that the exhibition reflects directly.

SIMI is organised by Infopro Digital and Groupe Moniteur across three days.
