The Nevo Electric Vehicle Show returns to RDS Dublin for a two day run at the Simmonscourt pavilion, with the organiser Nevo describing it as the largest electric vehicle exhibition in Europe.

The show takes place on 7 and 8 November. The year is 2026.

Nevo says the floor will carry more than 140 electric vehicles from over 38 automotive brands, which makes the event less a motor show in the traditional sense than a concentrated test drive and comparison exercise. Visitors can see competing models from different manufacturers in one hall on the same afternoon, which is a harder thing to arrange through a dealer network organised brand by brand.

Bank of Ireland returns as main sponsor for a third consecutive year, and the supporting line up includes a vehicle launch partner, an energy utility running a live demonstration area and the state body responsible for zero emission vehicle policy. That mix is the point of the event commercially. Buying an electric car in Ireland is still a decision that involves a finance question, a home charging question and a grant question at the same time, and the show puts all three in one place alongside the vehicles themselves.

The timing matters as well. The show sits immediately before the new registration year, when Irish car buyers traditionally place orders, so exhibitors treat it as the start of the selling season rather than a mid year showcase. For the manufacturers it is also a read on how quickly the Irish market is shifting, at a point when electric share of new sales has been rising but remains uneven across price segments.

RDS Dublin hosts the event at its Simmonscourt pavilion in Ballsbridge, the venue the society uses for its largest exhibition formats.
