The second edition of the Global Logistics Forum takes place in Riyadh from 29 November to 1 December 2026 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center, and this year it is held in conjunction with the Global Supply Chain Forum 2026 of UN Trade and Development, bringing the two gatherings under one roof in the Saudi capital.
The forum is convened by the Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services as the flagship event of the Kingdom's national transport and logistics strategy, which aims to position Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub connecting Asia, Europe and Africa. The inaugural edition brought ministers, the chief executives of ports, airlines, shipping lines and logistics groups, and international organisations to Riyadh, and the 2026 edition adds the UN supply chain forum, whose previous edition was held in Barbados.
The event matters to executives because logistics is one of the sectors where Saudi investment is most visible. New port capacity on both the Red Sea and Gulf coasts, the expansion of the national rail network, the growth of Riyadh Air and the airport development programme, the creation of special economic and logistics zones, and the entry of international freight and logistics operators into the Kingdom have created a large and fast-changing market. The forum is where the government sets out its priorities and where operators and investors position themselves for the contracts and partnerships that follow.
The combined agenda is expected to cover trade corridors and connectivity, port and airport investment, supply chain resilience and digitisation, sustainable and low-carbon logistics, and the financing of transport infrastructure in developing economies. The UN forum brings a multilateral dimension with participation from governments, international financial institutions and the global shipping and logistics industry.
For chief executives of ports, shipping and airline groups, logistics and freight forwarders, infrastructure investors and the technology companies serving the sector, the Global Logistics Forum is the principal opportunity of the year to engage with Saudi transport policymakers and their international counterparts in one setting.
