Qatar Financial Centre (QFC)

Overview

The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) is a business and financial centre located in Doha, Qatar, providing legal and regulatory services for local and international companies. Established in March 2005, it advances the Qatari government's economic policy and contributes to the country's economic diversification and development plans, attracting investment by offering a favorable legal, regulatory, tax and business environment.

With more than 2,200 registered companies, QFC streamlines the process of business establishment, offering a unified service experience. QFC enters its third decade with close to 4,000 companies and around 13,000 jobs, placing it among the region's established financial centres. As a fully onshore global business and financial centre located in Doha, Qatar, it offers the ideal platform for firms to expand East to West and West to East, with 100% foreign ownership, 100% profit repatriation, 10% corporate tax on locally-sourced profits only, and a legal environment based on English common law.

QFC comprises an integrated ecosystem encompassing the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) for authorizing and regulating financial services, the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority for legal and business operations, the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre, and the Qatar Finance and Business Academy.

Recent Leadership News

The Qatar Financial Centre appointed Mansoor Rashid Al-Khater as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Yousuf Mohamed Al-Jaida, who stepped down after over 11 years of service. Al-Khater brings more than 28 years of experience across leadership, strategy, and transformation roles, and will lead QFC's strategic agenda and ensure alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.
