National Bank of Dubai

National Bank of Dubai was founded on 19 June 1963 by Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum as the first national bank established in the United Arab Emirates. It no longer exists as a standalone institution: in March 2007 it merged with Emirates Bank International to form Emirates NBD, which listed on the Dubai Financial Market in October 2007. References to National Bank of Dubai in coverage of executive careers generally describe roles held before that merger.
