Company Overview

Lombard Odier Group is an independent Swiss banking group based in Geneva. Its operations are organised into three divisions: private banking (wealth management), asset management, and IT and back and middle office services for other financial institutions. The bank serves as one of the biggest players in the Swiss private banking sector, with total client assets of CHF 349 billion at end of year 2025, a 6.5% year-on-year rise.

The group was formed in the summer of 2002, as Lombard, Odier, Darier, Hentsch & Cie, by the merger of Lombard, Odier & Cie and Darier, Hentsch & Cie. As the latter was originally founded in 1796, the group has a claim to being the oldest private bank in Geneva. Including its network of collaborators, the group has around 2,720 employees worldwide in 2022, with approximately 3,000 professionals globally by 2026. Outside of Switzerland, the group has branches in Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East.

The year 2025 marked a key milestone in the Firm's history: Lombard Odier brought together more than 2,000 Geneva based employees under one roof in its new Herzog & de Meuron–designed headquarters in Bellevue. Its new global headquarters in Bellevue, Geneva, has been awarded the prestigious BREEAM Outstanding certification with the highest score in Switzerland (95.2%), and is now the most sustainable building in the country according to BREEAM.

Recent News & Leadership

Assets under management (AuM) rose to a record high of CHF 223 billion at end-December 2025. Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) has agreed to acquire Ownership Capital, a long-horizon equity manager based in the Netherlands, as part of an ambitious push to expand its sustainable investment business and take sustainability-focused AUM beyond $10bn.
