The Financial Accounting Standards Board is the independent body that establishes generally accepted accounting principles for public and private companies and not for profit organisations in the United States. It maintains advisory groups, including an Investor Advisory Committee, to gather perspectives from users of financial statements. Catherine Mealor has served on that committee since September 2021.
