Partner Engineering and Science has appointed Ken Sliter as Director of Client Development for its Capital Programs practice, effective May 21. Sliter joins the commercial real estate consulting firm as it expands its owners' representation business serving national retailers and restaurant chains modernizing aging property portfolios across multiple sites.

In the role, Sliter will support growth of Partner's Owners' Representation and Capital Programs practice by managing client relationships and leveraging his experience with large-scale construction and facilities programs across retail and restaurant networks. Bob Geiger, Chief Revenue Officer at Partner, said the appointment reflects the firm's expansion strategy: "He brings a strong mix of operational experience, client relationship expertise, and leadership that fits well with what we're building at Partner." Sliter said the firm's growth opportunities and culture were decisive factors in his decision to join.

Sliter brings more than 25 years of experience in capital program management, business development, and general contracting. He has worked with Fortune 500 retailers, restaurant chains, automotive service providers, travel center operators, and convenience store brands across all 50 states and Puerto Rico. His background includes oversight of national remodel, maintenance, and refresh programs involving HVAC replacements, restroom renovations, fire safety system upgrades, lighting modernization, flooring projects, and other operational initiatives in active retail environments. He directed teams of more than 20 project managers while managing portfolios totaling thousands of projects and hundreds of millions of dollars in cumulative investment. Most recently, Sliter held a senior vice president role at Bureau Veritas, where he oversaw multisite program management.

Partner Engineering, headquartered in Torrance, California, is a leading provider of engineering, environmental, energy, and construction consulting for the commercial real estate industry. The firm touches one in five commercial real estate transactions in the United States and operates more than 40 offices globally with over 1,400 employees. Beyond transaction-related due diligence services, Partner has expanded into operational consulting tied to capital planning, sustainability, resilience, and facilities modernization across the real estate lifecycle. The company has recently emphasized expanding its capital programs and owners' representation business as commercial operators face rising construction costs, labor constraints, and deferred maintenance backlogs.

The appointment signals Partner's strategic push to deepen its presence in the capital programs space at a time when national retail and restaurant operators are centralizing capital planning and outsourcing project management. Sliter's quarter-century of experience managing complex, portfolio-wide capital expenditure projects across geographically dispersed property footprints directly addresses the operational challenges retailers face in balancing construction timelines against ongoing business operations. The hire fits the company's stated direction of expanding consulting services beyond property assessment into hands-on project implementation and capital management across the real estate lifecycle.
