Jeff Epstein joins the Zoom Communications board of directors

Zoom Communications has announced that Jeff Epstein has joined its board of directors, effective immediately. The Nasdaq listed communications company, which trades under the ticker ZM, disclosed the appointment on 2 September 2026. Epstein previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Oracle Corporation and is currently an Operating Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, a venture capital and private equity firm.

The San Jose, California based company also announced that board member Jonathan Chadwick will retire from the board after nearly ten years of service, effective 19 November 2026. Zoom did not disclose the current size of its board or any committee assignments for Epstein.

Company statement

Eric Yuan, the Zoom chief executive officer and board chairman, said in the announcement that the extensive financial and strategic leadership Epstein brings, particularly across business to business software and vertical artificial intelligence, makes him a strong addition to the board. Yuan also thanked Chadwick, saying his guidance was critical during major periods of growth and helped shape Zoom into the company it is today.

Career background

Before joining the Zoom board, Epstein built a career in technology finance. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Oracle, one of the largest enterprise software companies in the United States. He is currently an Operating Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, a venture capital and private equity firm that invests in software and technology companies.

Epstein holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a bachelor degree from Yale University.

Other board seats

Epstein has an extensive record of public company board service. In addition to his new seat at Zoom, he currently serves on the boards of directors of Autodesk, a design and engineering software company, AvePoint, a data management and governance software provider, and Twilio, a cloud communications company.

He has previously served on the boards of Okta, an identity and access management company, Couchbase, a database software company, Poshmark, an online fashion marketplace, and Shutterstock, a stock media company.
