Ajoy Krishnamoorthy, chief executive officer of IXOPAY

IXOPAY has appointed Ajoy Krishnamoorthy as chief executive officer, the payments company said in an announcement issued from Dallas, Texas, on 25 August 2026. The appointment puts permanent leadership in place at a business that provides payment orchestration, tokenization and payments intelligence to merchants, and brings in an executive whose two decades in enterprise software are rooted in product management.

The company had been operating under interim leadership before the appointment, which was made by a board chaired by Vik Verma. IXOPAY did not state an effective date for the new chief executive, and the announcement carried no disclosure of terms. The company presented the hire as a step intended to accelerate growth, and set it against operating figures for 2025 that describe a business already handling payment flows at considerable scale for a large merchant base.

Krishnamoorthy joins from Cin7, which he joined as chief product officer in 2022 and led as chief executive from February 2024. Earlier he spent 10 years at Microsoft in product, strategy and marketing leadership roles, and he was subsequently chief strategy officer and executive vice president of product at Acumatica, where he worked on scaling the company's cloud enterprise resource planning platform and its partner ecosystem. He holds an engineering degree from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, a master's degree from BITS Pilani and an MBA from The Ohio State University. He is based in Seattle.

IXOPAY sells payment orchestration, tokenization and payments intelligence software, sitting between merchants and the providers that process their transactions. The company reported 171 billion dollars in orchestrated payment volume for 2025, and said it had secured more than 2.1 billion tokens and supported 1.6 million merchants over the same period. Its platform carries more than 500 payment adapters, with connections to more than 200 payment service providers and more than 300 payment methods. Its publicly named customers span airlines, logistics groups, online marketplaces and manufacturing.

Krishnamoorthy arrives at a company whose disclosed 2025 figures point to established scale in volume and connectivity rather than to a shortage of merchant reach, and his own record contains no payments role. The reasonable inference, which IXOPAY did not state, is that the board recruited for enterprise software and product execution rather than for payments industry relationships, and that the priority is converting existing volume into a broader commercial platform. A second inference, again not asserted in the announcement, is that the absence of a stated effective date, combined with the preceding interim arrangement, points to a planned search rather than an abrupt transition. What the release does confirm is the shape of the business he inherits, with 1.6 million merchants, more than 500 payment adapters and connections to more than 200 payment service providers, now under a chief executive drawn from cloud software rather than from payments.
