The board of International Human Resources Company (IHR), listed on the Saudi Exchange's parallel Nomu market, has appointed Almohaned Al-Shathri as Chairman, with Faisal Al-Otaibi named Vice Chairman. The board reconstitution took effect on 3 August 2026, with the chairmanship running to the end of the current board term in December 2027. The changes remain subject to ratification at the company's first general assembly meeting.

The reshuffle followed the death of the company's former chairman, Adel Al-Jarboua, earlier in the year. Al-Shathri is not new to the board, having previously served as Vice Chairman, and he also holds the role of Vice President of Stakeholder Affairs at the e-commerce platform Salla. Faisal Al-Otaibi joins the board as an independent member alongside his appointment as Vice Chairman.

International Human Resources Company operates in the staffing and workforce solutions sector, an industry closely tied to Saudi Arabia's labour market reforms and the drive to expand private sector employment. Companies in this space have benefited from rising demand for recruitment, outsourcing and workforce management services as the Kingdom's economy diversifies and large projects draw in labour across sectors.

Promoting an existing board member to the chairmanship provides continuity at a sensitive moment, following the loss of the previous chairman. For a Nomu-listed company, board stability and clear governance are especially important given the parallel market's focus on smaller, growth-stage firms and the scrutiny they face from investors. Al-Shathri's prior service on the board and his current executive role at a prominent technology platform give him both institutional familiarity and outside commercial perspective.

The dependence on general assembly ratification is a standard governance step, but it also underlines that the new leadership structure is not yet final. Until shareholders confirm the changes, the board is operating under an interim arrangement. For the company, the priority will be to reassure the market of a smooth transition while maintaining the momentum of a workforce solutions business operating in a sector shaped by regulation and reform. The incoming chairman will be expected to steer the company through ratification and set its governance tone for the remainder of the term.

The leadership change closes a difficult chapter for the company and sets its board for the period ahead. The move adds to a run of governance and board appointments across Saudi Arabia's listed companies.
