Feras Al Jaramani, HSBC Private Bank UAE

HSBC has appointed Feras Al Jaramani to lead its private banking business in the United Arab Emirates, the bank confirmed in an announcement published on August 7, 2026. Al Jaramani takes overall responsibility for HSBC Private Bank's UAE market, consolidating leadership of the teams serving the bank's wealthiest clients in one of the Gulf's most competitive wealth-management arenas.

Feras Al Jaramani steps up from his previous role heading the UAE market for Arab and Emirati clients, expanding his remit to the whole of the UAE private banking operation. He brings around 25 years of financial-services experience, including 13 years at HSBC, and will report to Aladdin Hangari, Head of HSBC Private Bank for the Middle East and North Africa. The appointment sits within the bank's International Wealth and Premier Banking strategy, which has identified the UAE as a priority wealth hub.

The UAE has become a magnet for private wealth, drawing family offices, entrepreneurs and international high-net-worth individuals relocating to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. That inflow has intensified competition among global and regional private banks, each racing to expand relationship-management capacity and bespoke investment offerings. Placing a single, experienced leader over the UAE private bank reflects an intent to present a more unified front to clients and to accelerate growth in assets under management.

Al Jaramani's challenge is to convert the UAE's wealth boom into durable market share against well-resourced competitors, while maintaining the risk and compliance discipline that private banking demands. His long tenure should ease coordination with the bank's global platform, though observers of internal promotions will watch whether he brings fresh commercial momentum or continuity. The concentration of leadership also raises the stakes on execution, since accountability now rests clearly with one figure.

HSBC did not disclose specific growth targets for the UAE private bank alongside the appointment. Al Jaramani assumes his expanded responsibilities with immediate effect.
