Tue Hodal and Paulo Teixeira

Tue Hodal joined Melt&Marble as its first Chief Technology Officer, bringing over 25 years of extensive experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. Most recently, he served as CTO at Bacthera, a developer of bacterial biotherapeutics. In his role at Melt&Marble, Hodal will focus on optimizing bioprocesses and downstream operations to facilitate large-scale, economically sustainable production of precision-fermented fats. With over 15 years' experience leading different parts of the supply chain in the pharmaceutical industry, from production and global planning to engineering and operational excellence, Tue has mostly worked in larger Pharma companies like Novo Nordisk, Lundbeck and Xellia Pharmaceuticals.

Dr Paulo Teixeira, formerly the chief innovation officer at Mycorena, has joined as product manager. Teixeira holds a PhD in Bioengineering from Chalmers University of Technology and previously led the development of Mycorena's mycoprotein ingredient. Teixeira is recognised for his expertise in launching fermentation-based products and will oversee Melt&Marble's product development initiatives. With a background in both technical R&D and go-to-market execution, Teixeira will help shape Melt&Marble's product vision and roadmap as it expands into new applications.
