HH Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi

HH Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi was born on 23 May 1973 in Sharjah and holds multiple leadership positions across government and private sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Arkansas State University and a Masters degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan, USA. Most recently, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Management Studies from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom.

In 2017, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi co-founded Arada as one of the Gulf's most respected businessmen, serving as its Chairman since inception. Arada has grown into a major regional property developer with operations in the UAE, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Under his leadership, Arada has delivered landmark projects including Nasma Residences, Aljada, and Armani Beach Residences.

In August 2021, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed was appointed Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Petroleum Council. He has chaired Basma Group since 2005, the Board of Directors of Sharjah National Oil Company since 2010, Tilal Properties LLC since 2014, and Invest Bank since 2019. He also chairs the Sharjah Media Council, oversees the University of Sharjah, and leads the Sharjah Communication Technologies Authority.

Under Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed's chairmanship, Arada has expanded internationally, entering Australia in 2024 with eight projects totaling over 6,000 homes. In September 2025, Arada acquired a 75% stake in UK developer Regal for £681 million, with a pipeline of 10,000 units over 11 projects in London. Most recently, Arada acquired an 80% stake in the Thameside West development in London, a £3.2 billion project, with Sheikh Sultan overseeing expansion to 30,000 London units within three years.
