The Singapore Space Summit returns on 25 and 26 February, according to the events calendar published by organiser Experia Events. A venue for the 2027 edition has not yet been announced.

The summit was introduced at the most recent Singapore Airshow, where it ran as a dedicated space track alongside the aerospace exhibition. Giving it its own slot hands the organiser a platform in a year when the airshow itself does not run, and gives the sector a conference of its own rather than a strand inside a much larger aviation event.

The agenda such a summit addresses is squarely commercial. Satellite communications, earth observation data, launch access, space situational awareness and the financing and insurance of space assets are all areas in which Singapore has been positioning itself as a regional hub, supported by its research institutions and by an existing cluster of satellite and aerospace suppliers on the island.

For executives in telecommunications, logistics, insurance, defence and maritime surveillance the value is access. A two day event in a neutral regional centre puts operators, regulators, investors and the agencies that award spectrum and licences in the same building, which is harder to arrange anywhere else in the region.

Experia Events is the Singapore organiser behind the Singapore Airshow, IMDEX Asia and the Business Aviation Asia Forum and Expo, and it took its present name in 2011.
