Alexandre P. Boivin

Alexandre P. Boivin is the founder and President & CEO of Quimbaya Gold Inc., a Canadian mineral exploration company based in Burnaby, British Columbia, with operations in Colombia's Antioquia Province. Based in Panama, Boivin holds approximately 17 percent of the company. He brings over a decade of experience in Colombian mining and capital markets, and has been President & CEO since January 2021.

Boivin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from HEC Montréal (2007-2010). With over 10 years of experience in mining, corporate finance, capital markets and business development, he has a proven track record in managing and funding early-stage companies. As head of Barings for Colombia and Peru, he originated and executed numerous transactions including M&As, Private Placements and IPOs of Latin American companies, including Minas Buenaventura and Minsur, during which over US$1.0B in capital was raised with US and European institutional investors. Later, he started, built, and sold several companies in different sectors.

Boivin has built Quimbaya Gold around a high-quality portfolio of exploration assets, an experienced technical team, and a disciplined strategy focused on unlocking district-scale discovery opportunities and creating long-term shareholder value. The company holds a roughly 73,000 hectare land position in Antioquia, Colombia, held outright and sitting immediately adjacent to Aris Mining's producing Segovia operations. In recent presentations, Boivin highlighted the company's district-scale position with no debt and insider ownership of roughly 17 percent for the chief executive.
