Forum Teratec holds its 21st edition at the Palais des Congres de Paris on 20 and 21 October 2026, convening the European high performance computing industry and the industrial users who buy from it.

The forum covers high performance computing, numerical simulation, artificial intelligence and quantum computing, with a consistent emphasis on industrial application rather than academic research. Its audience is drawn from aerospace, automotive, energy, pharmaceuticals and the engineering services firms that sit between them and the hardware vendors.

Teratec, the association that organises it, was established to build a French and European cluster around simulation and computing capability, and the forum is its principal annual gathering.

Why it matters

Compute capacity has become a board level question in industries that previously treated it as an engineering procurement matter. The cost and availability of accelerated computing, the choice between on premises installations and cloud capacity, and the growing overlap between simulation workloads and artificial intelligence training are decisions now taken well above the technical function.

Europe's position in that market is the forum's subtext. The continent operates several of the largest public supercomputing installations but depends on non-European suppliers for most of the underlying hardware, and sovereignty over computing capability has moved steadily up the policy agenda.

The 21st edition runs across two days at Porte Maillot.
