Emirates Growth Fund

The Emirates Growth Fund (EGF) is the UAE's flagship growth equity platform. Backed by Emirates Development Bank, EGF is an AED 1 billion transformative growth investor aimed to accelerate the scale, resilience, and global competitiveness of UAE-based SMEs. Launched in May 2025 at the fourth edition of Make it in the Emirates Forum, EGF delivers patient capital and deep strategic partnership to high-potential businesses across priority sectors: Manufacturing, Food Security, Healthcare, and Advanced Technology. EGF fills the "missing middle" of SME financing, and through minority equity stakes with active value creation, helps founders scale sustainably, strengthen governance, and transform into national champions.

Emirates Growth Fund targets UAE-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with strong growth potential and annual revenues typically starting from AED 10 million, with investments ranging between AED 10 million and AED 50 million per company. The fund provides deep industry expertise and hands-on strategic guidance across five key pillars: strategic guidance, institutionalization & governance, operational excellence, market access, and talent access.

Recent Leadership News

In October 2025, EGF appointed His Excellency Khalifa Al Hajeri as Chief Executive Officer, marking a pivotal moment in EGF's journey to empower UAE SMEs and advance the country's strategic economic priorities. Al Hajeri brings more than 15 years of global investment experience, most notably with Mubadala Investment Company, where he led growth investments, sovereign partnerships and venture capital initiatives.
