Genpact has named Sumita Pandit as its senior vice president and chief financial officer, appointing a finance leader whose career spans investment banking, payments and mortgage insurance to oversee the company's global finance organization. The appointment was announced on September 8, 2026 and took effect the following day.
At Genpact, a global professional services and digital operations firm, Pandit reports to chief executive Balkrishan Kalra and joins the company's leadership council. She takes over the finance function at a time when the firm is repositioning around data, technology and what it describes as services delivered as software, and when clients are pressing their transformation partners to show measurable returns. Genpact employs a large global workforce and counts many of the world's biggest banks, insurers and manufacturers among its clients, so the finance seat carries real weight with investors tracking margins across the outsourcing and consulting sector.
Pandit brings close to 25 years of experience across technology led growth, profit and loss ownership, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and capital markets. She joins from Radian Group, where she served as president and chief financial officer, running the company's mortgage insurance business as well as leading its finance organization. Earlier she was chief operating officer of the payments company dLocal, where she helped steer the business through its initial public offering.
Her career also includes senior roles in banking. She was a managing director and global head of fintech investment banking at J.P. Morgan, and before that worked in the financial institutions group at Goldman Sachs. That mix of operating and advisory experience gives Genpact a finance chief who has sat on both sides of capital markets transactions, an asset for a company that has used acquisitions to build out its analytics and technology capabilities.
She succeeds Michael Weiner, who has served as Genpact's chief financial officer since 2021. Weiner will remain with the organization as an advisor through the end of the first quarter of 2027, providing continuity as Pandit settles into the role.
The appointment adds to a steady flow of chief financial officer moves across the United States professional services and technology sector, where boards are recruiting finance leaders comfortable with both disciplined capital allocation and the economics of software and data driven services. For Genpact, the choice of an executive with deep fintech and capital markets experience points to an intent to keep sharpening its financial story for investors as it competes for higher value work.
