First Abu Dhabi Bank opened a representative office in Turkey and has hired Tolga Kisakurek as Managing Director & Country Head.
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has officially stepped into the Turkish market. The bank opened a representative office in Istanbul and hired Tolga Kısakürek, one of the well-known names in the banking sector.
FAB's office in Istanbul is registered in the Levent business center and has been in operation since January. Tolga Kısakürek has a long history in the finance sector. Throughout his career, Kısakürek has held senior roles in international and local firms.
Most recently Tolga was an Executive Vice-President at Istanbul-based Dogan Investment Bank and also held Director roles at HSBC and Citigroup.
The bank’s move to set up a physical presence in the country comes after its preliminary talks to buy Turkish lender Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi in 2024 did not progress further.
