Maura Dineen

Maura Dineen is a solicitor regulated by the Law Society of Ireland who has been appointed Country Managing Partner for DLA Piper's Ireland office. She brings significant expertise advising domestic and international clients on wide-ranging tax matters, including inward investment, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property exploitation, and tax-efficient financing structures. She regularly advises clients on tax-efficient financing and structuring of property acquisitions, and stamp duty and VAT matters.

Dineen's practice focuses on Life Sciences, Real Estate, Tax, and Technology sectors. Her thought leadership extends to sectoral issues; she has outlined the significant scale and types of global Life Sciences organisations that make Ireland their home. She is ranked in Chambers Europe and advises clients on tax aspects of corporate transactions, restructurings, and tax appeals.

Prior to her appointment as Country Managing Partner, Dineen was a tax partner at Mason Hayes & Curran. In 2015 and 2016, she was the national reporter for Ireland on the tax committee of the International Bar Association. She is a member of the Law Society tax committee and one of their representatives on the joint Revenue committee for direct taxes and the Revenue R&D External Discussion Group.
