Christian Kromann

Christian Kromann is Chairperson of the Board of Directors at SimCorp A/S and Member of the Executive Board at Deutsche Börse AG, responsible for Investment Management Solutions (IMS), effective January 1, 2025. Born in 1972 and Danish national, Kromann has spent his career at the intersection of investment technology and financial software.

As CEO of SimCorp from 2021 to 2024, Kromann's tenure included the new ownership agreement with Deutsche Börse Group, a strategic merger with Axioma, the release of the SimCorp One platform, and a strategic push into the North American investment management market. The company doubled its size in the past five years. The Axioma merger strengthened SimCorp's presence in North America, their primary growth market, by combining portfolio optimization and risk management analytics with SimCorp's investment management platform. The merger between SimCorp and Axioma was finalized in January 2024, resulting in a combined organization with over 360 clients in the Americas region and 500 employees across eight offices.

Kromann holds a Master of Economics degree from University of Copenhagen. His professional experience spans over 25 years in financial software and services. He worked at Fidelity National Information Services (formerly SunGard Data Systems) from October 1999 to March 2016 in progressively senior roles, including Chief Revenue Officer for Global Trading (2015-2016) and General Manager, FIS Nordics (2002-2012). Before joining FIS, Kromann worked at Nordea Bank Denmark A/S (formerly Unibank) from 1995 to 1999 as Risk Manager and in professional services roles. He served as CEO of Tia Technology from 2016 to 2019 before joining SimCorp in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer and becoming CEO in September 2021.
