Amadou Diallo

Amadou Diallo assumed the role of Group Chief Executive Officer of Aramex effective May 1, 2026, bringing over 30 years of leadership in the logistics industry. He is Senegalese and fluent in multiple languages including English, German, French, Fulani, Wolof and Spanish.

Born into an economically underprivileged family in Senegal, Diallo moved with his family to the capital Dakar at a young age where his father made a living running a shoe store, and by age six he would work at the store after finishing school every day. By the time he entered his first graduate program at age 25, after completing two undergraduate degrees and an MBA, Amadou Diallo had already accumulated almost 20 years of work experience. He studied at Schiller International University (1984-1988), Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (1989-1990), and The Wharton School (2001).

Diallo is also the founder of Saloodo!, DHL's first logistics online platform. Starting out, the charismatic Diallo worked as a financial controller for a luxury resort in Tunisia where, in the evenings, he would belt out Bob Marley tunes to guests as a singer.
