Timothy Baxter is a director of IonQ, Inc, appointed to its board in an announcement dated 25 August 2026. He has more than 40 years of experience leading major technology companies, with senior management roles at AT&T, Sony and Samsung, where he rose to chief executive of Samsung, North America, and he helped launch 5G, HDTV and Blu-ray.
He was chairman of the board of SkyWater Technology until the company's recently completed acquisition by IonQ. He is also chair of VueReal and lead outside director of First Orion, and was previously an operating partner at Centre Partners Management.
