Martin Parkinson is a former secretary to the Australian Treasury and a former secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. He is among the most senior former officials in the Australian public service. He served on the panel that compiled the shortlist for the 2026 Monetary Policy Board appointment.
