The Financial Services Authority was the United Kingdom's integrated financial regulator from 2001 until 2013. Its responsibilities were divided in 2013 between the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority. Its abolition followed criticism of the supervisory framework in place during the financial crisis.
