Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company)

Masdar, officially Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, is a state-owned renewable energy enterprise founded in 2006 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE, recognized as one of the world's fastest-growing and largest clean energy companies. The company is owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC, and Mubadala Investment Company. Masdar leads global efforts in renewable energy development, green hydrogen production, and sustainable technology solutions.

The company operates in projects spanning over 40 countries and a total clean energy capacity exceeding 51GW. Its initiatives include solar, wind, energy storage, and green hydrogen production, with landmark projects like the Shams 1 concentrated solar plant and the London Array offshore wind farm. Masdar is targeting a portfolio capacity of 100GW by 2030. The company has 501-1,000 employees.

Recent Leadership

Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi is the Chief Executive Officer of Masdar and has held senior leadership positions in the company for nearly a decade and a half, serving as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer prior to his appointment as CEO in 2016.
