Standard Chartered Private Bank has hired Ali Raza as Cluster Head for the Middle East and Africa, based in Dubai. His appointment follows a distinguished career that includes leadership roles at EFG and Edmond de Rothschild, where he served as CEO for the Middle East and North Asia.
Raza’s move signals Standard Chartered’s continued push to strengthen its presence in the GCC region and expand its offering to high-net-worth and mass affluent clients. His extensive experience across Julius Baer, ABN Amro, Coutts, and UBS positions him to lead the bank’s regional growth strategy.
This hire complements a broader talent build-out at Standard Chartered, which recently added Yahya Ismail as EMEA Market Head and several senior client partners to bolster its private banking capabilities.
