Basim Al Saie

Basim Mohamed Al Saie currently serves as Chairman of Bahrain Food Holding Company, bringing extensive leadership experience in guiding nationally significant enterprises. He also chairs Bahrain Flour Mills and serves as Vice Chairman of Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill (GARMCO). His background includes leading complex restructuring efforts, collaborating with global M&A advisors, and navigating governance and stakeholder engagement, experience that supports Ghitha's strategic direction and long-term value creation.

Al Saie holds a B.S. from Boston University and is a mechanical engineer. Following his graduation from Boston University in 1988, Basim worked at a small engineering company in New York for about two years. On his return to Bahrain, Basim joined Balexco in 1990 as the technical support and marketing manager, marking the beginning of his 33 years of experience in the aluminum industry.
