Noora Abdulrahman Jamsheer

Noora Abdulrahman Jamsheer served as Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) until August 31, 2026. Under her leadership, Jamsheer transformed DANAT's Laboratory into a world-class entity in pearls, jewelry, and gemstones, solidifying Bahrain's prominent position in these fields. She is a trained diamond expert certified as both an IGI Belgium and GIA-trained grader, with deep expertise developed over two decades in the natural resources sector.

Jamsheer graduated with honors from Babson College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Investments, and Economics. She began her professional journey as a financial analyst at TAIB Bank and HSBC Financial Services. In 2002, she joined the Dubai Metals and Commodities Centre, executing the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme in the UAE, and in 2004 was designated as the first CEO of the Dubai Diamond Exchange. From 2009, she served with the United Nations Security Council Group of Experts as a diamonds expert monitoring sanctions effectiveness.

In 2024, Jamsheer was elected to the CIBJO (World Confederation of Jewellers) President's Council and as Vice President of the CIBJO Pearl Commission. She is focused on developing innovative strategies to strengthen pearls' position in the jewelry industry and standardizing professional and ethical practices. Jamsheer has delivered keynote presentations on Bahrain's pearl heritage at major international symposiums.
