SMBC has hired Iman Abdel Khalek as Managing Director to lead our client coverage business in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META).
With over 25 years of experience, Iman joins from Citigroup where she was latterly the Head of CEEMEA Debt Capital Markets and brings a significant experience across loan, bond, securitization, acquisition finance, project finance and Sukuk financings and hedging products.
Iman has built a strong network of sovereign, corporate, and financial institution clients across the Middle East and Emerging Market countries and has led numerous landmark transactions in the region.
