Databarracks, the London-based business and technology resilience specialist, has appointed Darren Tingley as Services and Technology Director, effective July 15, 2026. The newly created role positions Tingley to scale the company's data protection and business resilience offerings while deepening the integration of IT and operational recovery capabilities as client demand for unified resilience frameworks accelerates.
Tingley arrives from Enfusion, where he served as Managing Director and Global Head of Security and Internal IT since December 2019, helping scale the financial technology firm from fewer than 200 employees to more than 1,000. Managing Director James Watts said Tingley brings "a unique perspective" not only through decades of industry experience but as a former Databarracks customer, having worked with the company's managed backup and disaster recovery services during his six years as Head of IT and Security at Lansdowne Partners, a London-based investment management firm. Watts noted that Tingley experienced firsthand "the level of service customers should be able to expect from a resilience partner." The appointment was made without involvement of a search firm and represents part of Databarracks' broader leadership expansion, following the recent hiring of Michelle Green as Marketing Director from digital infrastructure company Equinix.
Tingley holds credentials as a CISA Certified Cybersecurity Professional with deep expertise in information security, cybersecurity, and governance and IT general controls. His career trajectory reflects specialization in scaling technology and security functions across the finance and technology sectors. At Enfusion, he led global security and internal technology programs across a fast-growing investment platform serving alternative asset managers. His tenure at Lansdowne Partners, spanning six years, was marked by responsibility for IT and security infrastructure supporting regulated financial operations, where he actively engaged with external technology partners including Databarracks.
Databarracks was founded in 2003 as a pioneer of UK-based managed online backup, subsequently expanding into comprehensive resilience services spanning managed backup, disaster recovery as a service, public cloud management, and business continuity consulting. Headquartered in London and operating ex-military data centers, the firm serves mid-market and enterprise organizations across legal, financial services, and public sector verticals. The company has pursued strategic acquisitions in recent years, including PlanB Consulting in 2024 and COOLSPIRiT and Acumen Business Services more recently, to strengthen its integrated resilience offering. Management reports annual revenue near $10 million as of 2026.
Tingley's appointment signals Databarracks' strategic focus on unifying IT and business resilience capabilities as customer demand for integrated frameworks intensifies. Industry research from Databarracks' own Data Health Check identified integration of IT and business resilience as the top resilience priority for organizations in 2026, driven by rising cyber attacks, tightening regulation, and stakeholder pressure. By deploying a technology leader with direct experience managing security and infrastructure at both a hyperscale financial technology company and a regulated asset manager, Databarracks appears positioned to accelerate service delivery standardization and operational maturity as it scales. The timing reflects broader market dynamics where managed resilience services are shifting from niche offerings toward mission-critical infrastructure for risk-conscious enterprises.
