PCL Construction, one of North America's largest general contractors, has expanded the leadership team of its US digital-infrastructure business, naming Carl Haas as District Manager, Peter Losh as Operations Manager and promoting Tyler Kautz to Regional Vice President, Digital Infrastructure. The company announced the changes on 14 July 2026 as it positions for accelerating demand in data center construction.
Haas takes responsibility for overseeing PCL's active data center construction portfolio as District Manager. A PCL veteran of 18 years, he has worked across the company's civil and buildings sectors and spent several years focused specifically on the data center market, experience directly relevant to managing complex, fast-moving hyperscale projects.
Losh, as Operations Manager, will help oversee the same active portfolio, reinforcing delivery capacity as project volumes rise. Kautz's promotion to Regional Vice President for Digital Infrastructure elevates a leader tasked with strengthening PCL's ability to serve hyperscale and colocation clients, the two segments driving the bulk of new data center demand.
The appointments come against a backdrop of extraordinary growth in computing infrastructure. PCL cited projections that nearly 100 gigawatts of computing capacity could come online over the next five years, roughly doubling the world's existing data center footprint, as artificial intelligence and cloud adoption drive unprecedented construction demand.
For PCL, deepening its data center leadership bench is a bet on capturing a larger share of that build-out. Contractors with proven execution in the technically demanding, schedule-critical data center segment are well placed as capital floods into digital infrastructure. How effectively the strengthened team converts demand into delivered projects, on time and at scale, will determine PCL's standing in one of construction's fastest-growing markets.
