Revision Skincare® Appoints Derrick Booker as Chief Marketing Officer

Revision Skincare, an Irving, Texas-based physician-dispensed medical-grade skincare brand, has appointed Derrick Booker as Chief Marketing Officer, effective June 15, 2026. In the role, Booker will lead global marketing strategy, brand development, and omnichannel engagement across both professional audiences including physicians and medical spas, and direct consumer markets. The appointment signals the company's intent to expand its market presence under new CEO Lisa Paley, who joined in September 2025 from Haleon with nearly three decades of consumer healthcare experience.

Booker's hiring reflects Revision Skincare's strategic focus on science-backed brand positioning at a time when the professional skincare category is experiencing consolidation and intensifying competition. CEO Paley noted that Booker's ability to translate scientific rigor into brand communication would strengthen engagement with both healthcare providers and consumers. The appointment was made by the company directly, with no search firm identified in the announcement. Booker joins at a moment when Revision Skincare is accelerating innovation, having launched multiple products including the Triple-Action Exfoliator and DermProtect Barrier Defense in the past year.

Booker brings extensive experience from three major multinational corporations. He holds a degree in microbiology from Miami University and an MBA from Xavier University's Williams College of Business. Beginning his career as a research scientist at Procter and Gamble, where he led clinical trial management for the North American Oral Care division and oversaw marketing for Crest and Oral-B, Booker developed a distinctive methodology combining scientific evidence with consumer marketing strategy. He subsequently spent approximately a decade at Pfizer Consumer Healthcare managing the prescription-to-over-the-counter switch for brands including Advil and pediatric product lines, where colleagues noted his cross-functional collaboration abilities. Since 2017, he has served in escalating roles at L'Oréal, most recently as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Product Innovation for SkinCeuticals, and previously as head of brand strategy for Thayers Natural Remedies. His marquee achievement at L'Oréal was transforming CeraVe into a billion-dollar brand and number one dermatologist-recommended skincare label, growing the brand more than 600 percent through digital acceleration and consumer-centric positioning. In 2020, he was recognized among the top 100 emerging executive leaders under 50 by Diversity MBA Chicago.

Revision Skincare is a privately held company backed by Gryphon Investors, which acquired the brand in 2021 from RoundTable Healthcare Partners. Founded in 1984, the company has evolved into a clinical-stage skincare manufacturer distributing through dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and medical spas across more than 15 countries. The company distinguishes itself through pharmaceutical-grade clinical testing, patented formulations targeting the dermal-epidermal junction (marketed as the Longevity Layer), and physician-led engagement models. With an estimated 25 to 100 employees and revenues likely between 50 million and 100 million dollars, Revision competes with larger medical-grade brands including NU Skin and Obagi Cosmeceuticals, but maintains premium positioning through clinical validation and professional channel focus.

Booker's appointment to a newly prominent or expanded CMO role at Revision Skincare represents a meaningful industry signal. The hire connects three complementary threads: first, bringing elite consumer goods marketing talent into the professional skincare segment at a time when beauty and wellness are converging; second, reinforcing the science-credibility positioning that Revision has built and that new CEO Paley is positioned to scale; and third, leveraging omnichannel expertise amid industry-wide acceleration of direct-to-consumer channels. Booker's track record successfully transforming mass-market skincare brands (CeraVe) and managing complex multi-brand portfolios suggests Revision's leadership believes the company can expand beyond the niche professional-only distribution model while preserving clinical rigor. The appointment comes nine months into Paley's tenure and may indicate confidence in her strategic direction or a sign that she is building her core marketing infrastructure ahead of potential scale-up initiatives under Gryphon's ownership.
