Will Hancock

Will Hancock was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Brazos Residential effective immediately in June 2026, where he will oversee the firm's overall strategy, operations, and performance. Hancock is a Founder and Managing Principal at Brazos Residential, formed in January 2022, a vertically integrated real estate private equity firm that owns and operates over 5,000 multifamily units across the Sun Belt. With nearly 15 years of experience in the multifamily sector, Hancock and his partner James Roberts built a full-cycle investment platform focused on sourcing, acquiring, and operating value-add and opportunistic real estate. Brazos currently manages over $800 million in assets under management across more than 7,000 apartment units and employs over 200 professionals.

Before co-founding Brazos, Hancock was a Senior Vice President and Senior Director in NorthMarq's Mortgage Banking Division, where he structured and originated over $7 billion in capital placements, including agency, balance sheet, bridge loans, joint ventures, and preferred equity. Earlier in his career, Hancock held roles at Wellington, a real estate investment firm, where he gained experience across acquisitions and asset management in multifamily, office, retail, and industrial. He began his real estate journey at Myan Management, where he developed ground-level operational insight working directly on property management teams. Throughout his career, Hancock has been involved in the capitalization and management of over 30,000 multifamily units.
