Sumanta Roy

Sumanta Roy is a technology industry veteran appointed as Group President for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Mannai Corporation QPSC, where he leads the Group's ICT business across the Middle East and Africa, with Saudi Arabia as a strategic priority market.

Roy joined Tata Consultancy Services in 1992 and served as President and Regional Head for Middle East and Africa at TCS, leading business growth, market expansion and customer relationships across the region. During his TCS tenure, he strengthened the company's presence in Middle East and Africa markets and advanced AI, cloud and digital transformation initiatives, while carrying out substantial work in Saudi Arabia. Roy took on his regional leadership role in 2019, and also served as a board member of TCS in Saudi Arabia, chairman of the Tata Network, and a member of the ICT Working Group at the Abu Dhabi Chamber.

Roy holds an MBA in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata (2002-2006). Roy brings more than thirty years of leadership experience in IT services, business transformation and regional growth.
