Steven Schaub

Steven Schaub has served as CEO of YES Communities since 2018 after founding the company in 2007, where he previously held the position of Chief Operations Officer from 2007 to 2017. Over his career, he has drawn on more than 25 years of experience in the acquisition, management, and development of manufactured home communities. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Colorado, holds a Colorado Class C High Rise Builder license, and attended Metropolitan State University of Denver.

From 1994 to 2003, Schaub held senior operational positions at both ROC and Chateau, and served as Divisional President at Chateau from 2000 to 2003, supervising twelve ground-up community developments comprising 4,700 home sites and seven expansions with over 700 home sites. He founded and operated BaseCamp Capital from 2003 to 2017.

Schaub's accomplishments proved essential in helping YES Communities grow to become the largest privately held REIT in the United States. He was recognized in 2019 as one of the 'Top 100 Business Entrepreneurs' by Goldman Sachs and was awarded the prestigious Chairman Award by the Manufactured Housing Institute. Under his leadership, YES Communities has earned the Community Operator of the Year award for ten consecutive years. Most recently, Schaub was inducted into the RV/MH Heritage Foundation 2025 Hall of Fame in August 2025.
