Sir Mark Edward Tucker was born on 29 December 1957 and is a British businessman with over 40 years of experience in financial services across Asia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Africa. He has spent over 30 years based in Hong Kong, establishing himself as a key figure in Asian financial markets.

Tucker became non-executive Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings plc on 1 October 2017, succeeding executive chairman Douglas Flint.
