Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Shabnan

Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Shabnan is Vice Chairman of City Cement Company, a Saudi Tadawul-listed cement manufacturer. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Atbara Cement Company in Sudan and holds board memberships in several Saudi enterprises. A graduate in Industrial Management from University of Petroleum & Minerals (UPM), Dhahran, in 1982, Al-Shabnan built his career across supply chain transformation, logistics, and business development in the region's largest industrial entities.

Throughout his 31-year career with SABIC, he supervised, managed and led various executive positions and mega projects including management, supply chain, business development and sales & marketing. Between 2007 and 2011, Saleh was the EMDAD Project Executive responsible for heading a global transformation initiative to develop an industry-leading supply chain capability for SABIC reporting directly to SABIC's Vice Chairman and CEO. His mandate was to develop a globally integrated Supply Chain supported by a world-class IT platform and global logistics network for SABIC's Chemicals, Polymers, Metals, Fertilizers, Specialties and Performance Chemicals. Upon successful implementation of the project, he was appointed Vice President, Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence in 2011 until his retirement from SABIC in April 2014.

In addition to his direct SABIC responsibilities, Saleh served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Sabic Terminal Services Co. (Sabtank) and Jubail Chemical Storage & Services Co. (JCSSC), and was a member of the Board of Directors of Petrokemya, Sadaf and National Chemical Carrier Company (NCC). He served as Vice Chairman of the Gulf Petrochemical & Chemicals Association (GPCA)'s Supply Chain Committee until June 2016. During his association with the cement industry, Saleh was the Vice President of the National Committee for Cement Companies. In January 2020, he was appointed by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to lead the formation and launch of National Agricultural Services Company, a 2 billion SAR, 100% government-owned entity, as CEO. Saleh is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the "Supply Chain & Procurement Society," a non-profit organization of 230+ supply chain and procurement professional volunteers.
