Peter Branner

Peter Branner joined Abrdn as Chief Investment Officer effective May 1, 2023, where he reports to Chris Demetriou and Rene Buehlmann, co-CEOs of Investments. The Danish-born executive brought experience from APG Asset Management, one of Europe's largest global pension investors, where he oversaw investment leadership across public and private markets.

Branner has over 30 years of investment experience and is described as a passionate advocate for sustainable long-term investing. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics and an M.Sc. in Strategy & Management from Copenhagen Business School. He also serves on the advisory board of the Brandes Institute in San Diego since 2003.
