Olayan AlWetaid

Olayan bin Mohammed Alwetaid is a Saudi business executive and electrical engineer currently serving as Group CEO of Saudi Telecom (stc) Group since March 2021. Born in Saudi Arabia on April 26, 1976, Alwetaid brings extensive expertise in telecommunications, media, and technology sectors. He was appointed Chair of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee at Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Company, a position affirmed in January 2026.

Alwetaid holds a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), and holds a master's in communications and signal processing from the University of Bristol. He is also Chairman of the SAMENA Telecommunications Council, a board member of the GSMA, and a board member of the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). He sits on the board of Spain's Telefónica.
