Nevine Sabbour

Nevine Sabbour was appointed as Non-Executive Chair in 2024, becoming the first woman to hold this position at Commercial International Bank (CIB), Egypt's largest private sector bank. With over 35 years of experience in the banking sector, Sabbour achieved this historic milestone in September 2024. She brings extensive experience in M&A, business strategy, banking transformation, financial planning, and management information systems.

Sabbour earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from the American University in Cairo in 1984 and joined Xerox Holdings Corporation in Egypt as a financial analyst in 1986. At Xerox, she designed sales compensation plans, conducted territory analyses, and provided cost estimates for new products. She then transitioned to the financial services sector, where she rose to Senior Manager in the investment division at Arab African International Bank (AAIB), where she oversaw the bank's investments in Alubaf Arab International Bank.
