Miki Kuusi

Miki Kuusi is the CEO of Deliveroo and Head of DoorDash International. He previously served as co-founder and CEO of Wolt, a Helsinki-based technology company he founded with a mission to bring joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. Born in Finland in the early 1980s and raised with the engineering and design sensibilities that characterise Finland's most successful technology entrepreneurs, Kuusi entered the entrepreneurial world through community building.

Kuusi attended Aalto University and served as a second lieutenant intelligence officer after graduating from Finland's Reserve Officer School. In 2011, Kuusi co-founded Slush — a startup conference that began as a small student-organised event in Helsinki with approximately 300 attendees. He served as CEO of Slush from 2011 to 2015, overseeing its transformation from a local curiosity into one of the world's most significant technology and startup conferences. By 2015, when he stepped down to focus on Wolt, Slush had grown to more than 15,000 attendees, attracting founders, investors, and technology leaders from across Europe, the United States, and Asia.

Kuusi served as the Founder and CEO of Wolt from 2014 to 2022, scaling the consumer food delivery startup to a valuation exceeding $1 billion. Under his executive leadership, Wolt was acquired by DoorDash in June 2022 in an $8.1 billion transaction. Kuusi has been responsible for DoorDash's business outside the US since May 2022, when DoorDash acquired Wolt. He sold Wolt to DoorDash for $8.1 billion in 2022 and subsequently led DoorDash's international expansion as Head of International. In October 2025, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Deliveroo, bringing the DoorDash family of companies full circle with the integration of the UK-based food delivery pioneer that DoorDash had acquired.
