Kevin Sheekey

Kevin Sheekey (born June 12, 1966) is an American businessman and political adviser who oversees global government relations and communications for Bloomberg LP, along with being the chairman of Bloomberg Government. He is the Global Head of Communications, Government Relations and Marketing for Bloomberg L.P. In March 2020, the Atlantic called Sheekey "one of the sharpest political minds of his generation."

Sheekey studied economics at Washington University in St. Louis, where his mother's Capitol Hill connections helped him land a summer internship with Rep. James Scheuer (D-NY) after his junior year. He served as chief of staff to U.S. Rep. James H. Scheuer (NY) from June 1988 to September 1992, then chief of staff to U.S. Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan from October 1992 to December 1996. Michael Bloomberg hired Sheekey as chief Washington lobbyist in 1997 and tasked him with raising the company's profile and dealing with its mounting regulatory demands.
