Jamal Al Kishi

Jamal Al Kishi was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Origination and Advisory, Middle East and Africa at Deutsche Bank effective April 1, 2024. Al Kishi returned to the role after a four-year hiatus, tasked with bringing the German lender out of dormancy and capturing greater market share in the region's investment banking, wealth management and corporate banking sectors. His mandate reflects Deutsche Bank's shift from relationship maintenance to expansion mode in the MEA region.

Al Kishi joined Deutsche Bank in 2007 as CEO of Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia and head of corporate and investment banking. He was promoted to CEO of MEA in 2016 and served in this position until 2020, when he departed to become CEO of Gulf International Bank. During his first tenure, he also served as CEO of Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Al Kishi spent over 12 years in corporate and investment banking in Saudi Arabia, serving as a senior executive at Arab National Bank for ten years and working in corporate banking with Saudi American Bank in Riyadh. His banking experience encompasses corporate finance, capital markets, structured and project finance, corporate banking and asset management.

Al Kishi holds an MBA in Finance and Banking and an Engineering Degree, and has attended several specialized training programs. More specifically, he earned a Masters in Business Administration in Banking and Finance from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia and a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Arizona State University.
